An entertaining, fun night out for adults and children, Playhouse Magical Cabaret is a professional, energetic show with a good variety of acts, playful interactions with the audience and lots of glitz and glamour.
A large number of glamorous performers wearing flashy costumes in vibrant colors perform acts from around the world, the stage scenes matching the act.
Ladyboy cabaret, magic, Broadway musical, Bollywood
Much more than a ladyboy cabaret, Playhouse Magical Cabaret adds illusions and magic, theater, hip hop, culture, Broadway musical and Bollywood to the show. Over forty ladyboys wearing long eyelashes, flashy makeup and extravagant dresses sing and dance on a large stage with beautiful decor in a comfortable, new theatre.
The one hour and ten minutes show is suitable for all ages.
Ladyboy performers
Over forty beautiful ladyboys, called “kathoeys” in Thailand perform in the show. The women look so beautiful, it is sometimes hard to believe that they are actually ladyboys.
Wearing colorful, sometimes outrageous costumes, the skillful and energetic performers sing, dance and act on the large Playhouse stage.

The acts
Playhouse Magical Cabaret brings a variety of entertainment including modern and traditional music, Thai and international acts, pieces from well-known musicals, cultural Thai and Chinese performances, both classical and modern.
The show is a mix of ladyboy cabaret, magicians acts, Bollywood routine, ballet, comedy and Broadway musical.
A large number of dancers and performers sing, dance and mime on the theater’s large stage. With every act the stage scene changes to match the act being performed.
Several Thai acts
You will get to see several Thai acts, including a classical Thai dance performed by very elegant dancers, an act portraying the ancient art of Muay Thai boxing against a backdrop of the ancient capital Ayutthaya and a story from the Ramakien, the Thai version of the Indian epic Ramayana.
Chinese act
Wearing beautiful red Chinese dresses, dancers perform a Chinese song set in a scene of Chinese style pagodas.
Other acts
Among the other acts are Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”, J Lo, Shirley Bassey, Mariah Carey, a hilarious Whitney Houston act, Genie and Aladdin from the Disney movie, a magic act and a very colorful Bollywood dance act.

With good views from every seat, a good sound and light system, beautiful decors and smooth pace of scene and costume changes the show is engaging and entertaining for both young and old.
Location and how to get there
The show is performed in the Playhouse Magical Cabaret theater located on the 6thfloor of the Shanghai Mansion Bangkok at 481 Yaowarat road in Chinatown.
The easiest way to get there is by metered taxi. There is no BTS Sky Train or MRT subway station in the area.

The Playhouse Magical Cabaret show is performed twice every weekday.
The first show starts at 8 pm, the second at 9.30 pm.
Dinner starts at 6:30 pm and 8 pm.
