Thai Cooking Class in Bangkok

Get deep under the skin of Thai culture and expand your dinner-party repertoire with dishes from green curry to pad Thai on this 4-hour cooking class in Bangkok. Shop for fresh produce at a local Thai market, learn to cook four separate dishes, and then feast on the fruits of your labor. This small-group tour is for a maximum of six people.

Meet your instructor and anyone else who's joining your small group at On Nut Skytrain station in downtown Bangkok. Choose between a 9am morning class (meet at 8:45am) or a 2pm afternoon class (meet at 1:45pm).

Your first stop will be a local Thai market. Under the tutelage of your friendly teacher, you'll learn how to pick out the best ingredients, from fish and shrimp to the fresh roots and spices that give Thai cuisine its celebrated zing.

Then it's back to the kitchen to put your ingredients to work. A different menu is offered every day, but you'll prepare four full dishes, including a dessert, and learn classics from pad Thai and tom sam to tom yum goong and green curry. Along the way, your friendly instructor will chat to you about the meaning of different dishes in Thai culture.

Finally, sit down and relax with the feast you've created. Tea, coffee, and bottled water are included: alcoholic drinks are available for an extra charge.

The class finishes at 1pm (morning classes) or 6pm (afternoon classes), when you'll return to On Nut station to make your own way back to your hotel.
