Climbing in North Thailand

Climbing in North Thailand offers a nice alternative for those who want to get away from the tourist crowds and are looking for a different atmosphere. The best known crag of the North is the so called “Crazy Horse Buttress”, an immense limestone mountain at about 30 minutes drive from Chiang Mai where climbing is possible all year. There are close to 200 routes here and many are spectacular climbs. These routes are in varying degrees of difficulty and different types of climbs, even roof climbs through caves with stalactites.

Lessons and guided tours

Anything from single day climbing trips to 2 week climbing holidays on multiple locations are available. Equipment can be rented or bring your own. Lessons at all grades as well as guided tours.
